Felicia Kelly is a 30 year old birth doula and mother of two biological children & two bonus children. Her motherhood journey began early at the age of 19 with a scary, highly intervened, long labor, and resulting emergency cesarean. Fast forward 10 years and her passion for birth work began during her second pregnancy while attempting a VBAC and receiving a less than supportive response from her provider. She saw the issues women face daily in making informed choices about their pregnancy and birth and wanted to be able to help facilitate a shift in the current paradigm.
Felicia is in Fayetteville by way of her military grandfather who brought her German immigrant grandmother to the states and had three children. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her fiancé, tend to her garden & house plants, crochet, sew, eat pizza, and drink way too much coffee. She is a caring, empathetic, free-spirited soul who will talk your ear off if you let her.
Before becoming obsessed with all things birth, Felicia obtained an Associates in Applied Science in Horticulture Technology and Management. Plants were her first love. She is also a student at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University pursing a Bachelors in Agriculture Education Professional Service.
She is currently working through a Holistic Remedies Certification course and in the final stages of a Reiki Master Certification. In addition to this, Felicia is completing her doula certification through CAPPA. By the end of the year, Felicia intends to obtain Placenta Encapsulation certification, Postpartum Doula, Childbirth Educator, and Hypnobabies certification.
