A lot of folks like the idea of gifting experiences instead of things, so we’re compiling a list of local suggestions to help you fill out your holiday wishlists. Today’s topic: gyms! (check out Part One: Museums) Here are a few ideas for places for your kids to get their wiggles out, ranging from more serious gymnastics classes to more open-ended play. Or consider one of the area’s many dance studios, too numerous to list! Consider purchasing a membership to use all year long, or a pass for an exciting day out.

Gyms

Little Gym (4011 Sycamore Dairy Road, Fayetteville): The Little Gym offers classes, camps and parents’ nights out for kids from 4 months old to 12 years. Kids can learn gymnastics, dance, karate, sports and balance and coordination skills. 

Bravery Kids Gym (886-A Elm Street, Fayetteville): Bravery Kids Gym is an inclusive indoor play facility designed for children with special needs as well as typically developing children. It features play equipment based on therapeutic equipment with adaptive devices available to borrow for children who need it.

Gymnastics

Countryside Gymnastics (330 McArthur Road, Fayetteville): Countryside offers gymnastics classes for kids aged 14 months and up as well as programs geared towards homeschoolers.

Airborne Gymnastics (2587 Hope Mills Road, Fayetteville): This recreational and competitive gym offers classes for children six months and older, including open gym times and drop-in classes.

Indoor Parks

Defy Gravity (361 Westwood Shopping Center, Fayetteville): This huge trampoline park features 35 trampolines, dodgeball, foam pits, zip lines and more. They offer special times for kids six and under only.

JP’s Jump Masters (7005 Nexus Court, Fayetteville): JP’s Jump Masters features a trampoline park and an arcade.

Indoor Climbing

The Climbing Place (436 W. Russell Street, Fayetteville) This indoor climbing gym offers open climbing times, technique classes, outdoor trips and camps.

Triangle Rock Club (5213 Raeford Road, Fayetteville): This indoor climbing gym offers open climbing times, technique classes, adaptive climbing, camps, fitness and yoga classes.
