I love to cook. And I love trying new recipes. My kids and I get bored of the same handful of meals and I find myself looking for different things to make, not only for my own family but for postpartum clients as well. (Did you know that meal planning and cooking  is included in our postpartum services?) But between momming four kids, running a business, soccer and football practices, and keeping the house somewhat presentable…. It is hard to find the time to sort through recipes and figure out which ones look worth the time, money, and effort to try.

Luckily, when I do find the time and find an awesome recipe, I save it. Here are some of my favorites!

Chicken Stuffed Peppers:

low-carb-stuffed-peppersGreat way to use up leftover cooked chicken! Bell peppers are stuffed with chicken, cheese, and jalapeño. This is a recent find and it was shared on our Facebook page. If you’re eating low-carb and want something that is easy to make a head and heat up when needed, this one is definitely worth a try. For the recipe, click here.


Zuppa Toscana:


Easily one of my favorite soups. Ever. You can amp up the spice, add more kale and less potatoes, or double the broth because you’ll just want to drink it. Great for reheating and portioning off small servings for a quick lunch. For the recipe, click here.






Spinach Salad with Warm Bacon Dressing:

Say it again. Warm. Bacon. Dressing. Need I say more? Recipe here!




Baked Penne with Chicken and Sundried Tomatoes:

med10437_0309_0pas012a_horizA family favorite. If you love pasta, cheese, and delicious cream sauce you have to try this dish. It is perfect for cold-weather and the recipe makes one dish for now, and one to freeze–perfect for pre-baby meal prep! Find the recipe here.



Cream Cheese Fruit Tart:

Cream-Cheese-Fruit-Tart-with-Almond-Crust-Almost-WholeFor my son’s first birthday, I wanted something different than sugary cake. I found this recipe (and bonus! it is a GF recipe!) and decided to give it a try as a replacement for traditional birthday cake. It was a bit labor intensive–I made two–but it was delicious and well worth the effort. So full of flavor and just the right sweetness. Click here for the recipe.
